Step back into the spirit of the Old West at the 32nd Annual Col. Charles Goodnight Chuckwagon Cookoff on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Saints' Roost Museum in Clarendon, Texas. This beloved Panhandle tradition celebrates the rich heritage of the American cowboy with authentic chuckwagon cooking, western hospitality, and a full day of family-friendly entertainment. Admission is free, and the gates open at 10:00 a.m., giving visitors plenty of time to enjoy the trade show, live entertainment, and hay auction before gathering for an authentic chuckwagon dinner served at 1:00 p.m. Dinner tickets are $25 per plate and are available at Every Nook & Cranny or by calling (806) 874-2746.
